I’d ask if y’all are excited for the arrival of Spring, but it seems both Oklahoma and Texas cannot break free from odd weather. We spent November-March in Oklahoma City continuing work on house renovations. It’s clear to me, as a former Chicago resident that the “Windy City” moniker has been given to the wrong city. Oklahoma has some of the craziest wind I’ve ever experienced! And temperatures ranging from 24 to 79 degrees in the same 24 hour period is just plain nuts!

Tom and I would be remiss not to begin this month’s message without humbly asking for grace as we failed to send a February letter. Between renovating two old homes simultaneously (updating all plumbing, electric and HVAC to code in both houses), continuing to facilitate twelve Innovative Truth group meetings each week, battle cancer, and guide Tom’s dad with his health issues, our days feel very long while disappearing quickly. Then on 18 February, I was in a car accident in OKC. A young man on his phone ignored a red light causing a multi-car accident. Although very sore, I was blessed to come through with only a mild concussion.

The first car he hit had multiple passengers, all of which were rushed to the hospital with injuries. Thank you to everyone who reached out with love and prayers. I am feeling much better. It was not my first mild concussion so I knew better than to ignore my need for rest.

As a fun side note, the other concussion happened during my years as a professional photographer. I was working in a small ring at a bull auction. The bull charged, the cowboy threw me aside hitting my head on a metal gate, but I got the shot.

So much has been happening in our country and world that we don’t even know how to address it all. This month we’d like to share a summary of some of what we share with the Innovative Truth participants.

1. God still reigns supreme  2. There’s no more time to sit on the fence  3. Be in His word every single day  4. Turn off the media & get outside   5. Be of sober mind  6. This is a spiritual battle  7. Rebuke Satan  8. Find your tribe    9. Be prepped physically while knowing it’s most important to be prepped spiritually 10. Fix your eyes on things above 11. Give it to God 12. Keep an eternal perspective  13. Be debt free  14. ‘Comfortable’ isn’t where we grow  15. Healthy boundaries are essential  16. Forgiving someone doesn’t mean condoning bad behavior.   17. Be thankful when God stalls your path  18. Jesus sat with sinners, He didn’t sin with them. Know the difference  19. None of us is worthy. Only the blood of Jesus can cover us  20. Be merciful & kind. People are fighting battles we know nothing about  21. Don’t get confused when the world tells you to celebrate that which God told you was a sin  22. Be still and know He is God 23. When a bull is charging at you, move

        With love,
