Streams In The Desert

During my personal devotional time this morning  I was overwhelmed with gratitude for you. The journey over these past twenty years has taken us into different ministries and countries but always with the single purpose of bringing people to Christ and building disciples for the glory of God. The transformations I have witnessed in men and women has touched my soul deeply. I have been privileged to watch the very students whose lives have been changed by God grow to become leaders in their Christian communities. This has been made possible because of your commitment to support me in this full-time endeavor. I am honored to be on this team with you, and am excited to continue growing in this ministry journey we are on together.

At times it felt as if the flow of direction God took me on wasn't always straight, but I continued to trust in Him even when I couldn’t always understand. It’s as if I was gathering pieces of knowledge in one area and then another, always led by God but not necessarily clear as to how those pieces were coming together. Until now.

My years in campus ministry leadership, teaching, ministering, building disciples for God, honing my skills creating videos to reach believers and non-believers all led to a message from God to establish Innovative Truth in 2011. God’s directive was unambiguous, but as I tried to move forward it was obvious I would need a like-minded partner. Though my marriage ended several years ago I am grateful for this time as God worked to mold and shape me in preparation for His great plan. God is teaching me I can be simultaneously both a masterpiece and a work in progress. At this time, I am ecstatic to share with you that God has brought a special woman into my life, and I cannot wait to introduce you to Tonya Venezia.

I wish there was space in this letter to share all God has done in bringing us together. Tonya  has spent two decades in ministry in the United States and overseas with her very successful media company. She has worked as a business consultant for the past five years helping entrepreneurs establish, direct and re-direct their companies into great success. I had asked God to bring someone into my life to help me in ministry who would feel equally passionate about my vision for Innovative Truth. That time has come! As a four time cancer survivor she has a warriors spirit and a giant heart which overflows with unbridled joy, light and love to every one.

We have produced multiple “Real Talk” videos with Pastor Roderick Barnes which are seen by thousands around the world, and used to disciple followers of Christ. Currently we are working towards a promotional video for the National Destino Winter Conference which equips college students to reach others for Christ. We are also preparing for mentoring urban youth in media skills and spiritual development. Thank you for helping to build the kingdom of God through your time, talent and treasure!
